MEET DR. REZA ROD
Dr. Reza Rod is Your Favorite Plastic Surgeon in Phoenix, AZ
Dr. Rod grew up in Wisconsin but ventured to Missouri to obtain his undergraduate degree in biochemistry at Washington University in St. Louis. With a minor in German, he graduated Magna Cum Laude in 1996.
Remembering his roots, he returned to Wisconsin to attend medical school at the University of Wisconsin, Madison, graduating in 2001. Dr. Rod then completed his surgical residency at the Phoenix Integrated Surgical Residency Program, where he trained for five years in general and vascular/trauma surgery.
Dr. Rod was then honored to be selected for a plastic surgery fellowship at the world-famous Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota. It was there that Dr. Rod received superior training in cutting-edge cosmetic and reconstructive plastic surgery, graduating in 2008.
After graduating from the Mayo Clinic, Dr. Rod returned to Arizona in July 2008 to open a private practice in Phoenix. At the same time, he began as a clinical instructor in the Division of Plastic and Hand Surgery with the Maricopa Integrated Health System Surgical Residency Program.

Dr. Rod earned his board certification from the American Board of Plastic Surgery in 2009, which has long been recognized by the American Board of Medical Specialties. He is also a member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons. Dr. Rod has also taught a course to prepare other plastic surgeons to pass the oral board examination, which is the last examination a plastic surgeon must pass to become certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery. He has almost 17 years of training and experience in enhancing natural beauty with surgical and non-surgical procedures.
He also has just as many years of research experience under his belt, covering topics ranging from Nuclear Magnetic Resonance (pretty heavy stuff) to “the use of post-operative local anesthetic delivery systems on patients having immediate expander-based breast reconstruction.”
During his downtime, Dr. Rod likes to kick back and watch the University of Wisconsin football team hit the field; he was especially excited to attend the 2015 Outback Bowl in Tampa, Florida, and see his Badgers beat the Auburn Tigers. His other passions are cheering on the Green Bay Packers, golfing, running, and serving inner-city youth through his participation as a Member of the Wesley Community Center Board of Directors.
