What is a Fotofacial™?
A Fotofacial is a rejuvenating treatment that combines Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) and radiofrequency (RF) energy to treat signs of aging and UV damage. This treatment is ideal for addressing common skin concerns such as sun damage, age spots, rosacea and redness, acne scars, large pores, fine lines and wrinkles, and uneven skin tone and texture.
Fotofacial™ Candidates
Patients who wish to address common skin concerns such as sun damage, facial redness, rosacea, uneven skin tone and texture, and more can often benefit from a Fotofacial treatment. Individuals with lighter skin tones (Fitzpatrick skin types I-III) often have better outcomes, as IPL can more easily differentiate between the pigmentation in the skin and the treatment areas. However, individuals who are pregnant or nursing, have a history of keloid scarring, or those with severe acne or ongoing skin infections should not undergo this treatment. To learn more about candidacy, contact Dermacare Plastic Surgery today to schedule a contraction.
