Superior skin rejuvenation to treat fine lines, wrinkles, age spots and discoloration with Pearl™ Laser Skin Resurfacing at Arizona Dermacare Plastic Surgery

Pearl™ Laser Skin Resurfacing offers superior skin rejuvenation with minimal “social” downtime. This revolutionary laser skin resurfacing treatment will treat all of the most common skin problems, including fine lines and wrinkles, age spots, and discoloration. Your skin can be renewed and rejuvenated in less than a week with profound techniques of Pearl™ Laser Skin Resurfacing. If you are unhappy with the skin texture, pore size, discoloration, sun damage or aging effects on your face, then Pearl™ Laser Skin Resurfacing might be just right for you!

While some skin resurfacing lasers require a prolonged recovery period, Pearl™ has only 4-6 days of downtime. Other resurfacing lasers treat only a portion of the epidermis, but Pearl™ has the advantage of treating the entire epidermis. This revolutionary resurfacing treatment provides a significant improvement in a single treatment versus 5-6 sessions that are required with some fractional laser treatments.

Benefits of Pearl™ Laser Skin Resurfacing

This skin rejuvenation treatment requires only three to four days of downtime following one or two short treatments, guaranteeing shorter downtime and quicker results.

Other benefits of Pearl™ Laser Skin Resurfacing include:

  • Full face treatments with the ability to treat the entire epidermis
  • Natural dressing to protect skin post-treatment, alleviating the need for wound care and shortening downtime
  • Quick 10 – 15 minutes for procedure time
  • Results in only 1 or 2 treatments as opposed to the multiple treatments required with other laser treatments
  • Only 3 – 4 days of “social” downtime
  • Thermal collagen stimulation

The Pearl™ laser will be guided over the skin, gently removing the top layer of the epidermis and heating a layer of tissue below it. The treatment takes approximately 30-45 minutes for a full face. Patients say that treatment feels like a series of brief pinches. On a scale of 1 to 10, with 10 representing pain, most people report the treatment feeling like a 2 or 3. A topical numbing cream is applied to your skin to make sure you are comfortable throughout your procedure.

During the treatment, the top layer of skin is treated with pulses of light to remove sun damage and brown spots on the surface of the skin. Additionally, the laser sends heat to deeper layers of skin to stimulate collagen, thus reducing the appearance of fine lines on the forehead, and around the eyes and mouth.

Immediately after treatment, a natural dressing forms on the skin to protect the treated area and prevent a wound. On day 3 or 4, this natural dressing will peel or slough off, leaving new, smooth, healthy skin underneath.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • What Do You Mean by “Social” Downtime?

Your “social” downtime, is the time you will spend recovering from your procedure. You can continue your normal daily activities immediately after the procedure. However, you may not wish to attend important social events because your face will appear pink/red for 3-4 days.

Pearl™ Laser Skin Resurfacing offers you the most effective treatment to address fine lines, uneven texture and discoloration without wound care and the lengthy downtime required with other laser procedures. Compared to today’s fractionated technologies, Pearl™ Laser Skin Resurfacing offers noticeable results in just one treatment versus 4-6 fractionated treatments.

Some Pearl™ Laser Skin Resurfacing patients may require 2-3 treatments spaced approximately one month apart to achieve the desired results. Other Phoenix patients may need only one treatment.

You will see noticeable results from your Pearl™ Laser Skin Resurfacing on day 3 or 4, when the superficial tissue has peeled off, leaving fresh, new, healthy skin underneath.

  • How Do I Know if Pearl™ Laser Resurfacing Is Right for Me Versus Other Laser Treatments?

If you have skin issues such as fine lines, wrinkles, sun damage or scars, you may be looking into treatment options and wondering if this one is right for you. That ’s normal! Our average patient isn’t able to determine on his or her own if a certain procedure will be able to treat their problem area. That’s partly why Dermacare Plastic Surgery offers a free consultation with our aesthetic experts. We’ll be able to evaluate your face and skin issue and determine if Pearl™ Laser Skin Resurfacing is the right option for you. This will allow you to plan your treatment date and your “social” downtime and better prepare for the new you!

  • What Will My Skin Feel Like After a Treatment Session?

After your treatment session, your skin will feel as though you have a sunburn. Our aesthetic experts will recommend an aftercare regimen to help keep your face moisturized during this healing and recovery time. You’ll also need to limit facial sun exposure for the first few days after your treatment.

  • Why Do You Recommend Pearl™ Over Other Laser Treatments?

Our clients trust us to provide them with the best possible outcomes, which is why we recommend Pearl™ Laser Skin Resurfacing treatment. From a treatment standpoint, it is far superior to other lasers because it typically requires only 1 to 2 sessions, as compared to 3 or more with other types of lasers. Its recovery process is also significantly faster, with only “social” downtime needed, which provides you with a better experience. Finally, the results are noticeable after only 1 treatment, whereas other lasers require multiple treatments for you to see improvement.

  • Am I Still Eligible for Pearl™ if I Get Dermal Fillers, Too?

Yes. Phoenix patients who choose to get dermal fillers are still eligible for laser resurfacing treatments. Both dermal fillers and Pearl™ Laser Resurfacing treatment can be a part of your overall skin rejuvenation plan.

  • I’m in My Twenties. Am I Still Eligible for Treatment?

Pearl™ Laser Resurfacing is typically used on patients between the ages of 25 to 65. If you’re younger than that but still have skin issues that you think the laser can resolve, schedule a free consultation with our aesthetic experts to determine if treatment is safe now given your unique case.

  • Is Pearl™ Laser Resurfacing Just for Women?

Absolutely not. One of the most common misconceptions is that the facial rejuvenation treatments we provide are designed just for Phoenix women. That couldn’t be further from the truth! Our practice works with several men in the Phoenix area every year who are looking to change their facial appearance with rejuvenation products. If you have scars, sun damage, fine lines or wrinkles, we can help you regardless of your gender.

  • How Soon After My Treatment Can I Wear Makeup?

After your treatment, a superficial treatment will be placed on your face to protect it and help promote healing. Don’t peel it off! This tissue will naturally begin to fall off about 3 to 4 days after your treatment session. Once it has completely fallen off on its own accord, it’s safe for you to resume wearing makeup.
