CAREN DISCUSSES THE DIFFERENCES BETWEEN DYSPORT VS BOTOX
Some welcome the deep furrows and lines on the face as a symbol of experience and wisdom. But for most, they’re signs of aging that they’d rather eliminate. Botox and Dysport soften the facial lines which make us look old, without taking away our character lines.
Dysport vs. Botox
Botox is a household name but Dysport is lesser known. This is largely due to the fact that Botox has been marketed in the US for about seven years longer than Dysport. Although some would say otherwise, Botox and Dysport are very similar products. They both use toxins to relax muscles of facial expression that cause unwanted wrinkles. Both Botox and Dysport are extremely safe when administered by an experienced injector.
Although it takes more units of Dysport vs Botox for treatment areas, the cost comes out to be about the same in the end. Some prefer Dysport® because the results can often be seen as much as one to two days sooner than with BOTOX®. These differences are due to slight changes in chemical structure of the products. Dysport has abobotulinumtoxinA and Botox contains onabotulinumtoxinA.
