Question: Is my skin too far gone to do anything?
Dr. Rod: There’s always something that can be done to make your skin healthier.
Question: Is spring a popular time to renew your skin?
Dr. Rod: Spring is synonymous with renewal but anytime is a good time to take good care of your skin. Our skin gets damaged and dry in the winter. People tend not to use their sunblock in the cooler weather which accelerates the aging process. Your skin needs to be taken care of year-round. As the seasons change, your skincare regime should adjust accordingly. Getting regular treatments at our office can give you a huge advantage in keeping your skin healthy and young looking.
Question: What can be done to reverse the signs of aging?
Dr. Rod: Getting my patients on a regime of professional grade sunblock and moisturizer is the first step to protecting their skin. Many of my patients benefit from aesthetic injectables such as Botox® Cosmetic and Laser Genesis. They’re popular because they don’t require surgery and are relatively inexpensive. For patients that have extensive sun damage and wrinkles, I can use a Hetter Peel to restore the skin to a much younger state. If there is excessive skin laxity, a facelift may be the best choice to restore the skin. Everything needs to be individualized for each patient.
Question: How do I know what’s best for my skin?
Dr. Rod: All of the skin products and treatments can get confusing but that’s why I’m here. I have researched everything so I can bring the best to my patients. I look forward to helping you achieve your cosmetic goals.
