Buttock Augmentation - Dermacare - Shapely and Sexy

If you’re like many women, you may be envious of celebrities like Kim Kardashian and Jennifer Lopez, who have prominent butts. Unfortunately, genetics and an athletic lifestyle may dictate the appearance of your hind quarters, causing it to look flat, undefined, or even masculine.

Butt Lifts, or Buttocks Augmentation surgery, is right for individuals who do not like the shape of their buttocks or are looking to balance their body. It is performed Dermacare with a fat transfer process. The fat transfer procedure is commonly known as a “Brazilian Butt Lift.” A Butt Lift can increase the roundness, fullness, and projection of your buttocks. It can also improve the balance of your figure, thereby enhancing your self-image and self-confidence. As with most plastic surgery procedures, a buttocks augmentation surgery can be a stand-alone procedure; or performed with other body contouring procedures such as a tummy tuck or a breast augmentation.

  • Clothes and swimwear will fit better.
  • Your body will appear more shapely and proportionate.
  • Your buttocks will be firmer, rounder and uplifted, creating a more youthful and curvaceous appearance.

  • Because of postoperative swelling, it may take three to six months before the full effect of this surgery is evident.

Buttock Augmentation, or a Butt Lift, is a very personal procedure and you should do it for yourself, not for someone else. You may be a good candidate to receive a buttock augmentation if:

  • You are physically healthy
  • You have realistic expectations
  • You are bothered by the feeling that your buttock is too small
  • You are unhappy with the roundness or general shape of your buttock
  • Your buttock is asymmetrical

One of the most popular procedures for a Buttock Augmentation is Autologous Fat Transfer, also known as a Brazilian Butt Lift.

It is important to talk with Dr. Rod during your free consultation to determine the best approach based on your aesthetic goals and body shape.

Autologous Fat Transfer Procedure:

An autologous fat transfer buttock augmentation is a plastic surgery procedure that takes fat from one area of your body and uses it to reshape and enhance your buttocks.

The plastic surgery procedure may go as follows:

Autologous Fat Transfer Procedure:

  • Liposuction with suction tubes (cannulas) is used to remove fatty tissue from areas of your body with excess tissue, such as the abdomen, hips, back, or thighs.
  • The fat is then processed for fat transfer.
  • The fat is reinjected using syringes connected to cannulas.
  • Usually three small incisions are needed for injecting the fat, but these incision sites are easily hidden by clothing.
  • The fat is grafted in layers at multiple levels, with the cannula moving back and forth to ensure that a smooth, linear deposit of fatty tissue is left to reshape and augment the buttocks area.
  • The liposuction incisions are closed with sutures.
  • Drains are inserted and a compression garment is worn following surgery.

The following incisions may be used:

Autologous Fat Transfer Procedure:

Liposuction incisions are very small. The incision is just large enough to allow the suction tube, or cannula, to go under the skin and remove the fat. The incisions used for injecting the fat into the buttock regions are as equally as small. You will be left with barely noticeable scars if there are any at all.

Autologous Fat Transfer Procedure:

In order for the fat to keep its positioning and to “take,” it is recommended that the patient remains off of the buttocks for 14 days. There is very mild discomfort at first, and some temporary swelling can occur in excess of the desired swelling. The fat injection itself is a low-risk procedure.

Complications from buttock augmentation are rare, but will be discussed with you during your consultation. It is important to note that all surgical procedures have some degree of risk associated with them. Some of those risks include:

  • Adverse reaction to anesthesia
  • Hematoma or seroma (an accumulation of blood or fluid under the skin that may require removal)
  • Infection and bleeding
  • Changes in sensation
  • Scarring
  • Allergic reactions
  • Damage to underlying structures
  • Unsatisfactory results that may necessitate additional procedures
